SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of David R. Marco, who passed away on
4March 6, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, David Marco was born in Joliet to Joseph and
6Lorraine (Dolasin) Marco on May 18, 1954; he graduated from
7Providence Catholic High School in 1968 and Lewis University
8in 1972; and
 
9    WHEREAS, David Marco dedicated many years of his life as a
10para-professional at Joliet West High School; he supported the
11sports programs enthusiastically and often announced the
12Joliet West football and basketball games; he took great pride
13in the bonds he formed with both the staff and students and
14left an indelible mark on the school community; he had
15previously worked for ComEd but found greater fulfillment in
16helping the kids that needed more assistance; and
 
17    WHEREAS, David Marco was a member of St. Paul the Apostle
18Catholic Church and an avid fan of Chicago sports; and
 
19    WHEREAS, David Marco was full of positivity and love and
20will be especially remembered for his spirit of kindness.; and

1    WHEREAS, David Marco was preceded in death by his parents;
2and
 
3    WHEREAS, David Marco is survived by his brother, Brian
4(Deb) Marco; his nieces and nephews, Meghan (Jimmy) Harding,
5Blaise Grebic, Joe Marco, and Riley Marco; his great-nieces,
6Mackenzie and Grace Harding; his aunt and uncle, Bernie and
7Millie Marco; and many cousins and second-cousins; therefore,
8be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11David R. Marco and extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of David Marco as an expression of our
16deepest sympathy.
