SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Johnny Lowell Lasley of Moline, who
4passed away on February 8, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Johnny Lasley was born to William Henry and
6Louisa (Wickham) Lasley in Ullin on July 15, 1929; he served in
7the U.S. Navy Reserve for 20 years; he married Joann Sacco in
8Moline on November 28, 1953; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Johnny Lasley worked as an accountant at Tri-City
10Blue Print Company for over 30 years, retiring in 1981; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Johnny Lasley was a member of Faith Lutheran
12Church in Moline for 70 years; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Johnny Lasley loved being with his family; he
14enjoyed doing yard work, playing dominoes, and eating Whitey's
15Ice Cream; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Johnny Lasley is survived by his wife of 70
17years, Joann; his children, John (Karen) Lasley, Duane
18(Catherine) Lasley, and Angela (Steven) Bean; six
19grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Johnny Lowell Lasley and extend our sincere condolences to his
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Johnny Lasley as an expression of
8our deepest sympathy.
