SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Richard L. "Rich" Goodlick; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Rich Goodlick was born in Bloomington to Carl and
5Bernice (Peterson) Goodlick on December 5, 1934; he served in
6the U.S. Army; he married Jan Miller at the First United
7Methodist church in Pekin on July 21, 1961; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Rich Goodlick worked for Local 644 as a carpenter
9for 40 years before retiring in 1996; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Rich Goodlick loved traveling with his wife, Jan,
11and spent winter months in Florida and Arizona and many
12summers in Alexandria, Minnesota at Jan's parents' cabin on
13Lake Brophy; he coached Cub Scout softball and Little League
14Baseball; he was a member of First United Methodist Church in
15Pekin; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Rich Goodlick was preceded in death by his
17parents; his infant great-granddaughter, Karlee; his sisters,
18Donna Alt and Mary Alice Kuntz; and his brother, Larry
19Goodlick; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Rich Goodlick is survived by his wife, Jan; his

1son, Randy (Pam) Seward; his daughter, Kim (Joe) Martin; his
2grandchildren, Kyle Seward, Kenzie (Cody) Bachman, Nick
3(Jessica) Stafford, and Tyler Stafford; eight
4great-grandchildren; his sisters, Wilma (Ray) Garber and Judy
5Kumpf; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Richard L. "Rich" Goodlick and extend our sincere condolences
9to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
10it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Rich Goodlick as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
