SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Duane Russell Bradley; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Duane Bradley worked for both Argonne National
5Laboratory and the International Atomic Energy Agency for
6nearly 30 years, including six years spent in Vienna, Austria;
7and
 
8    WHEREAS, Duane Bradley was an officer with the Lemont
9Emergency Management Agency for over nine years, where he
10helped with major local events and emergency response to
11accidents, fires, severe weather, and other incidents; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Duane Bradley was a longtime committeeman in the
13local Republican organization; he was involved with the
14Downers Grove Community Church and was an active member at the
15former First Presbyterian Church of Downers Grove; he
16volunteered his time at community food pantries and with the
17DuPage County Sheriff's Volunteer Patrol; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Duane Bradley's children and grandchildren were
19always a priority, whether by serving on the school board,
20coaching soccer, or assisting and attending his kids'
21activities, such as band camps, concerts, sports, and church

1events; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Duane Bradley enjoyed square dancing and held
3many offices and committee positions to benefit the square
4dance community; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Duane Bradley was the loving husband of over 55
6years of his wife, June; the beloved father of Robert Bradley,
7Katharina (John) Harden, and David (Melissa) Bradley; the
8cherished grandfather of Ruth and Nathanial Harden and
9Jalaina, Michael, Jaila, Jay, Lillian, and David Jr. Bradley;
10the fond brother of the late Douglas Bradley; and uncle to
11Dustin Bradley, who he raised as his own after the passing of
12his brother; therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
14ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
15Duane Russell Bradley and extend our sincere condolences to
16his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
17further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to the family of Duane Bradley as an expression of
20our deepest sympathy.
