SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of William D. "Bill" Dugger of Buffalo, who
4passed away on March 30, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bill Dugger was born to Donald and Ola Faye (Dunn)
6Dugger on May 8, 1938; he married Betty Gathman in Springfield
7on August 31, 1974; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Bill Dugger served in the Illinois Army National
9Guard for 40 years and retired as an allied trades foreman; he
10was also a farmer; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Bill Dugger was a member of Grace Community
12Fellowship Church, the Mechanicsburg Masonic Lodge 500, and the
13Palmyra Eastern Star; he enjoyed woodworking and collecting
14pocket watches; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Bill Dugger was preceded in death by his parents;
16his brothers, Roger and Jerry; and his sister, Patricia Beckum;
17and
 
18    WHEREAS, Bill Dugger is survived by his wife, Betty; his
19daughters, Catherine (Bill) Bryant and Cynthia (Dave) Brunner;
20his grandchildren, Krista (Sean) Monroe, Lindsey Miller, Evan

1(Abby) Brunner, and Jason (Megan) Brunner; his
2great-grandchildren, Logan Monroe and Adalynn Brunner; his
3siblings, Donald (Kathy) Dugger, Mike Dugger, and Cheri Dugger;
4and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7William D. "Bill" Dugger and extend our sincere condolences to
8his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Bill Dugger as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
