SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Barry A. Duncan of Colona, who passed
4away on August 7, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Barry Duncan was born in Davenport, Iowa to George
6and Ruth Duncan on October 7, 1962; he married Lisa Burlingame
7in Bettendorf, Iowa on December 4, 1982, and they had three
8children; he served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Army National
9Guard; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Barry Duncan worked at Harvest Day Bakery in Rock
11Island; he also worked at Ruan Trucking; most recently, he
12worked at John Deere Harvester Works in Davenport, Iowa; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Barry Duncan was a self-taught martial artist,
14specializing in nunchucks; he enjoyed playing disc golf and
15watching YouTube music videos; he loved his family, especially
16his beloved grandchildren, above everything else; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Barry Duncan was preceded in death by his father,
18George Duncan; his son, Shane Michael Duncan; and his
19father-in-law, T. James Burlingame; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Barry Duncan is survived by Lisa Duncan; his

1children, Chad Duncan and Amanda (Bobby) Barker; his
2grandchildren, Melony, Blake, and Connor Barker; his siblings,
3Brenda (Mike) Mills and Bryan Duncan; his stepmother, Mary
4Duncan; and his mother-in-law, Joy Burlingame; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Barry A. Duncan and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Barry Duncan as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
