SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Michael Ehrmann of Rock Island, who
4passed away on May 4, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael Ehrmann was born in Rock Island to Herbert
6and Jean Huntington Ehrmann on May 2, 1957; he graduated from
7Rock Island High School in 1975; he served in the United States
8Marine Corps; he later received his associate's degree from
9Black Hawk College; he married Dorothy "Dotti" Cunningham in
10Rock Island on October 2, 1993; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Michael Ehrmann worked in the social work field
12for many years; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Michael Ehrmann was a former member of the
14Genesius Guild; he was an avid gardener and volunteered with
15the community garden program; he enjoyed being outdoors,
16hiking, fishing, barbecuing, and camping; he was a fan of the
17Blackhawks, Cubs, and Packers; he loved science fiction and
18what he called "good books and bad television"; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Michael Ehrmann was preceded in death by his
20maternal and paternal grandparents; his brother, Richard
21Ehrmann; and his mother-in-law, Elsie Cunningham; and

1    WHEREAS, Michael Ehrmann is survived by his wife, Dotti;
2his sons, Joshua Ehrmann and Christopher (Louly) Ehrmann; his
3grandchildren, Aden, Lily, Louis, Calvin, and Anja Ehrmann; his
4parents; his sister, Linda (John) Soto; his nieces and nephew,
5Amber, Nikki, Katelyn, and Bryan; his uncles, Bob Ehrmann and
6Ron Ehrmann; and his father-in-law, Jeffree Cunningham;
7therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Michael Ehrmann and extend our sincere condolences to his
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Michael Ehrmann as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
