SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Melinda J. "Mindi" Terrell, who passed
4away on March 12, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mindi Terrell was born in Bloomington to Sam G.
6and Joan R. (Hamilton) Terrell on February 26, 1968; she
7graduated from Hoopeston High School in 1986; she earned her
8bachelor's degree in political science from Illinois State
9University and her master's degree in marketing from DePaul
10University; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Mindi Terrell began her career with the Make a
12Wish Foundation in Arizona; she later moved to Chicago and used
13her marketing skills for Kraft Foods, Dunkin Donuts, and Custom
14Culinary; she then moved to Pontiac, where she served as the
15Executive Director for the Pontiac Chamber of Commerce; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Mindi Terrell was very active with the United Way;
17she served on many local boards in the Pontiac area and also on
18the Advisory Board for OSF Hospitals; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Mindi Terrell was preceded in death by her sister,
20Angela D. Richie and her nephew, Colby Haskins; and

1    WHEREAS, Mindi Terrell is survived by her parents; her
2brother, Matthew G. (Kristie) Terrell; her sister, Leslie
3(Carey) Wiesner; her brother-in-law, Mike Richie; her nieces
4and nephews, Trevor (Brenda) Wiesner, Brendan (Chloe) Wiesner,
5Adam Wiesner, Abbey (Jason) Fosdick, Jared Richie, Sean (Sarah)
6Richie, Drew Braden, Raij Irvin, Jacob Haskins, and Matthew
7Terrell; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Jackson
8Fosdick, Sophia Fosdick, Eleanor Ruder, Chuck Ruder, and Arlo
9Braden; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Melinda J. "Mindi" Terrell and extend our sincere condolences
13to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be
14it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Mindi Terrell as an expression of
17our deepest sympathy.
