SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Nora M. "Babe" Busse of McHenry, who
4passed away on February 15, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Nora Busse was born in Schaumburg to Fred and
6Mathilda Botterman on October 31, 1922; she married Marvin H.
7Busse on June 7, 1941; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Nora Busse and Marvin moved to Columbus, Ohio in
91942, where Marvin worked for the Curtis Wright Aircraft
10Company building war planes; in 1946, they moved back to Elk
11Grove Township, where Nora was a stay at home mom but helped
12out on the Busse peony farm in season; she also worked part
13time for Busse Flowers in Mt. Prospect; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Nora Busse and Marvin moved to McHenry in 1989 and
15they enjoyed many years of very retirement; Nora spent the last
16four years at Fox Point in McHenry enjoying newfound friends;
17and
 
18    WHEREAS, Nora Busse was preceded in death by her husband of
1972 years, Marvin; her parents; and all of her siblings; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Nora Busse is survived by her children, Patricia

1(Ernie) Grimm, Gary (Jean) Busse, and Steve (Kathy) Busse; her
2grandchildren, Lisa Reser, Jeff Grimm, Brian (Hillary) Busse,
3Dave (Laurie) Busse, Dan Busse, Scott (Jenn) Busse, and Josh
4Busse; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and
5two sisters-in-law; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Nora M. "Babe" Busse, and extend our sincere condolences to her
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Nora Busse as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
