SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Louis S. Kahnweiler, who passed away at
4the age of 97; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Louis Kahnweiler was the founder of Bennett &
6Kahnweiler, an industrial real estate company that developed
7Centex Industrial Park and 25 industrial parks across the
8country, he served as President of the District 108 School
9Board in Highland Park, and on the board of directors of the
10Highland Park Hospital, Exchange National Bank of Chicago, and
11Roosevelt University; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Louis Kahnweiler was preceded in death by his
13brother, Albert Kahnweiler; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Louis Kahnweiler was the beloved husband of 69
15years of the late Ruth (Markus); the father of Nancy (Ben)
16Randall, William (Jennifer) Kahnweiler, and Kathy Kahnweiler;
17the grandfather of Jeffrey (Anya) Randall, Nick Randall, Katy
18Randall, Lindsey (Adam) Goldberg, and Jessie Kahnweiler; and
19the great-grandfather of Ava and Millie Goldberg; therefore, be
20it
 
21    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2Louis S. Kahnweiler, and extend our sincere condolences to his
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
4further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Louis Kahnweiler as an expression of
7our deepest sympathy.
