HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Von M.
4Moran, who passed away on November 11, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Von Moran was born in Chicago to Charlie Anderson
6and Ruby Moran on July 18, 1967; he attended Kich Elementary
7School and Rosa L. Parks Middle School; he graduated from
8Thornridge High School, where he never missed a day of school
9and was captain of the band during his senior year; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Von Moran worked at Sherwin Williams Paint Store
11as a sales representative, at Mercy Health Care &
12Rehabilitation Center as a dietician, at Al Johnson's Cadillac
13dealership as a detailer, and at Frozen Food Express as a
14loader; he then found his passion and earned his commercial
15driver's license and became an over the road trucker; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Von Moran cherished every vehicle he ever owned,
17but none as much as his last vehicle, a green Chevy pickup
18truck; he loved being the designated driver for all trips and
19detailing cars; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Von Moran enjoyed collecting pallets, lawn care,
21snow removal, and frequent trips at 2am to the refrigerator to

1devour food; he was affectionately nicknamed "Pig"; he was an
2avid Chicago White Sox fan; he adored the company of his nieces
3and nephews and his grandniece and grandnephews to whom he was
4their "Great Protector", but most of all he adored his
5daughter, Brianna; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Von Moran was preceded in death by his
7grandparents; his father, Charles Anderson; and his sister,
8Charlyce Moran Griffin; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Von Moran is survived by his daughter, Brianna;
10his loving ex-wife, Kari Pastiak; his beloved mother, Ruby C.
11Moran; his brother, Mark (Katharene) Moran; his sisters,
12Carolyn (Edward) Moran-Hollins and Georgetta Moran; his
13brother-cousin, Vinram S. Wade Bey; two aunts; one uncle; and
14numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends;
15therefore, be it
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
17HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
18mourn the passing of Von M. Moran, and extend our sincere
19condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
20him; and be it further
 
21    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
22presented to the family of Von Moran as an expression of our
