    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

ARTICLE 1

 

    Section 1.  The following named amounts, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated for the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Office of the State Fire Marshal, as follows:

GENERAL OFFICE

Payable from the Fire Prevention Fund:

  For Personal Services.......................... 9,884,800

  For State Contributions to the State

   Employees' Retirement System.................. 4,962,300

  For State Contributions to Social Security....... 651,200

  For Group Insurance............................ 2,832,000

  For Contractual Services....................... 1,150,100

  For Travel........................................ 72,700

  For Commodities................................... 53,700

  For Printing...................................... 19,600

  For Equipment.................................... 602,200

  For Electronic Data Processing................. 1,957,000

    Section 5.  The sum of $639,900, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Fire Prevention Fund to the Office of the State Fire Marshal for costs and expenses related to or in support of a public safety shared services center.

 

    Section 10.  The sum of $65,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Fire Prevention Fund to the Office of the State Fire Marshal for costs and expenses related to or in support of the Fire Explorer and Cadet School.

 

    Section 15.  The sum of $300,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Illinois Fire Fighters' Memorial Fund to the Office of the State Fire Marshal for expenses related to the maintenance of the Illinois Firefighters' Memorial, holding the annual Fallen Firefighter Ceremony, and other expenses as allowed under Public Act 91-0832.

 

    Section 20.  The following named amounts, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated to the Office of the State Fire Marshal as follows:

Payable from the Fire Prevention Fund:

  For Expenses of Senior Officer Training .......... 55,000

  For Expenses of the Cornerstone program.......... 350,000

  For Expenses related to Fire Fighter training

   programs........................................ 230,000

  For Expenses of Online Firefighter

   Certification Testing........................... 590,000

Payable from the Fire Prevention Division Fund:

  For Expenses of the U.S. Resource

   Conservation and Recovery Act

   Underground Storage Program................... 1,000,000

 

    Section 25.  The following named amounts, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated for the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Office of the State Fire Marshal, as follows:

GRANTS

Payable from the Fire Prevention Fund:

  For Chicago Fire Department Training Program... 2,801,700

  For payment to local governmental agencies

   which participate in the State Training

   Programs........................................ 950,000

    Total                                        $3,751,700

 

    Section 30.  The sum of $500, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Fire Prevention Fund to the Office of the State Fire Marshal for grants available for the development of new fire districts.

 

    Section 35.  The sum of $125,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Fire Prevention Fund to the Office of the State Fire Marshal for grants available for costs and services related to ILEAS/MABAS administration.

 

    Section 60.  The sum of $10,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Fire Prevention Fund to the Office of the State Fire Marshal for a grant to the Hazardous Materials Emergency Response Reimbursement.

 

    Section 65.  The sum of $550,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Underground Storage Tank Fund to the Office of the State Fire Marshal for a grant to the City of Chicago for administrative costs incurred as a result of the State’s Underground Storage Program.

 

Section 99.  Effective Date.  This Act takes effect July 1, 2018. Notwithstanding anything in this Act to the contrary, appropriations authorized in this Act shall be used for all costs incurred prior to July 1, 2019.
